Mini Olympics

Today the school participated in a mini Olympics. Miss Collins and Mrs Olds were looking out for people in Tuatara who were showing the Olympic values of friendship, respect and excellence. Unfortunately we only got to complete 4 different rotations because it started to rain. However, we are going to finish the other rotations some time next week. Enjoy our photos! 

Camping in the library

Tuatara had a very magical library session today. Mrs Davidson created a pretend camp site! There was even a fire pit for us to read and enjoy our books around. Thank you Mrs Davidson!

Expressions trip

What a fun day! Today the junior school got to have their first school trip of the year. We went to Expressions and saw the Lego "Brick Flicks" exhibition. There were Lego pictures and Lego constructions of famous movies and most importantly BIG Lego pits where we got to play and construct things. We also got a chance to go into the Camp Katherine exhibition where we learnt about Katherine Morrison (aka Blanket Queen). We were able to attempt some sewing in there too, which was a lot of fun! 

SOLO assembly

We have been very busy preparing for our SOLO assembly, which took place yesterday. The school value which we focused on was perseverance. We created a video where we used the context of playing snakes and ladders to show us persevering.
